ABOUT
Poznań is one of the most established audiovisual centres in Poland, known for its strong creative identity and long-standing film culture. The city combines a dynamic commercial production market with a well-developed artistic and experimental scene.
It is also recognised internationally through key film festivals and industry events. Poznań stands out as a city where creativity, education, and production coexist within a compact and highly functional environment.
02
LOCATIONS
Poznań offers a balanced mix of urban and architectural locations, from historical city spaces to modern developments. The city’s scale makes it highly efficient for production, allowing easy movement between locations. In addition to its urban fabric, the surrounding region provides access to natural landscapes and smaller towns. The versatility of locations supports a wide range of productions, from commercial and television content to more artistic and experimental projects.
03
Production Support
Poznań Film Commission provides comprehensive support at every stage of production, including location scouting, permits, and coordination with city services and private owners. Operating within Estrada Poznańska, the commission offers access to local crews, technical resources, and a well-connected production network. While the region does not currently operate a regional film fund, it offers strong production infrastructure and a highly collaborative environment. Poznań is also a key centre for animation, with the Animator International Animated Film Festival and a growing ecosystem of animation studios. The city supports both commercial productions and artistic projects, creating a unique and flexible production environment.
