ABOUT
Western Pomerania is a region defined by openness, light, and proximity to water. Located along the Baltic Sea, it offers a unique mix of coastal landscapes, port cities, and vast natural areas. The region combines maritime character with a slower rhythm and a sense of space, making it visually distinct from other parts of Poland.
With its clean horizons, changing weather, and strong natural light, Western Pomerania provides a cinematic atmosphere that works across a wide range of genres.
02
LOCATIONS
The region offers diverse coastal and inland locations. Wide sandy beaches, dunes, cliffs, and seaside towns create strong visual backdrops rarely found elsewhere in Poland. Szczecin stands out with its unique urban layout inspired by Paris, combining historic architecture with modern city planning. The region also includes forests, lakes, and open countryside, allowing productions to access multiple landscape types within short distances. Ports, shipyards, and maritime infrastructure add an industrial edge to otherwise natural surroundings.

Production Support
The West Pomeranian Film Fund, operated by Pomerania Film and based at the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin, supports audiovisual productions through regional co-financing. The fund is designed to attract film projects to the region and strengthen its presence on the production map. In addition to financial support, productions can count on assistance with locations, logistics, and coordination at the local level. The region is production-friendly, with accessible locations and growing infrastructure supporting both Polish and international projects.
