ABOUT
Kujawsko-Pomorskie is a region located in the heart of Poland, combining strong historical identity with diverse landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. It stands out for its remarkable architecture, from Gothic masterpieces to Renaissance and modernist buildings, alongside a long tradition of art, music, and cinema.
The region’s two largest cities – Toruń and Bydgoszcz – play an important role in shaping its cultural identity. Toruń, a UNESCO-listed city, offers authentic historical scenery with strong cinematic potential, while Bydgoszcz is recognised as one of the region’s key cultural and music centres. Numerous historic towns, castles, industrial spaces, and post-industrial sites create a visually diverse environment for filmmakers.

LOCATIONS
The region offers a wide range of visually distinct filming locations, from medieval old towns and Gothic architecture to industrial spaces and contemporary urban scenery. Toruń provides authentic historical settings, while Bydgoszcz features unique riverside architecture with a more contemporary urban feel, as well canals and revitalised industrial areas.
Across the region, filmmakers can find Teutonic castles, palaces, fortresses, narrow historic streets, traditional rural landscapes, lakes, forests, and protected natural areas. The variety of locations allows productions to recreate multiple time periods and geographical settings within relatively short distances.

Production Support
Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund offers financial support for film productions, including feature films, documentaries, and other audiovisual projects, with a focus on projects connected to the region. The fund supports both development and production stages. The region is well connected logistically, with strong road and rail infrastructure, making it efficient for production planning. Local institutions actively support cultural and audiovisual projects, contributing to a stable and production-friendly environment.
